Wonderful restaurant. Was a steady customer from about 1974 to 1998 when I moved. Introduced many to this restaurant. Their secret I believe was their volume of business and that their Woks were always screaming hot, ready to go. My favorites Sweet & Pungent Chicken, Razor Clams, Steamed Sea Bass. Believe it or not WoHop is the #1 thing I miss about NY.

Cash only restaurants. There's an upstairs and downstairs. I believe the downstairs level is where all the tourists first go. The upstairs had much more availability for space. We asked the servers the difference and according to them, the upstairs is where they offer more seafood specialty dishes(?) Food comes out quick. Service is pretty good; water and tea refills and are on standby. This is Cantonese-style food. Great for American palate. I don't consider that a downside. Sure their egg drop soup has those clumps of cornstarch and the wontons could be more flavorful... but overall Wo Hop has good American-Chinese food, which I get a craving for now and then and what I grew up with. Wo Hop is well known for their beef chow fun. So good. And came out pretty affordable - 5 dishes split with 4 people was less than $25 each.

What's not to like .. old school good eats. Had to ask for the crispy noodles that they put on the table, but they were so worth it. Love good Chinese it's just hard to find in Jersey !! Always return here

First came here with my grandmother in 1973 It's like nothing has changed ....including the wait staff! . Eating this yummy , some fried and oily food how do these people live so long? Anyway, it's a well known tourist spot now , has huge portions of Cantonese style food and you just simply get inundated with the smell, sounds, steam and tastes of all your favorite Chinese dishes! The crowded street has a few other noteworthy Chinese food places and all of these have Duck sauce , which is all but non existent in The Bay Area of California!

On our first trip to NYC, we visited this spot after hearing rave reviews about their eggrolls, often described as "life-changing" and "the best you'll ever have." Naturally, we were excited as we waited in the long line outside. Unfortunately, the eggrolls fell far short of the hype. They were nothing more than fried wrappers stuffed with raw, unseasoned cabbage--completely overrated in our opinion. Thankfully, the other items we ordered were both delicious and generously portioned, making for an enjoyable meal overall. The customer service was excellent, and the atmosphere was lively, with a packed house and a constant line of patrons. The walls are decorated with photos of famous celebrities and dollar bills, adding a unique charm to the place. The table was shared with another family and separated by a clear plexiglass. If you're visiting, skip the eggrolls and try something else on the menu.

A packed underground (literally) restaurant located in Chinatown, Manhattan. My party visited during dinner time, and there was a long line to get seated. However, orders are taken quickly and food comes out almost instantly to get the line moving! Portions are gigantic! I recommend 2-3 dishes for 3 people. Our top item was definitely the spare ribs, seasoned well and very tender! The hot and sour soup was warm and hearty, and sweeter than other versions i've tried. I loved the thick, chewy skin of the wontons but I wish they had more meat filling! Overall, I would definitely recommend visiting Wo Hop! It has a homey vibe, quick service, and delicious food!

Amazing casual Chinese food! The portions are huge and the food was delicious. If I had to get one thing it would be the cold sesame noodles! They were so good. We also love the Lo mein. Really great noodles here. The egg rolls were massive and we would recommend splitting one with someone. Overall, we loved it and will be back. Our servers were attentive and quick. There is a smaller underground locations best for small parties and a larger above ground section next door that is best for bigger parties Note this is a cash only establishment!

Cash only!! Tiny spot with extremely quick service. The food is fairly priced, great serving sizes and delicious. It's a little greasy but in a great way. Came in to do a little sampling with friends and both steamed and fried dumplings were great. Noodles had a great wok hei smokiness that I still think about. Their mustard...be warned is sooooo pungent but delicious and great at cutting the fattiness and greasiness of a fried dumpling. Will clear your nostrils!
